Is An Instant Pot Just a Pressure Cooker?

There is a common question which people usually ask, is an instant pot just a pressure cooker or are electric pressure cookers and instant pots the same thing?

The Answer is

Yes!

Instant Pot is actually a brand name. In other words instant pot is an electric pressure cooker which performs multiple tasks. You can use it as slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, yogurt maker, warmer, and sauté pan. In simple words all in one for different recipes.

Instant Pot also features with an option in which you can set it to start cooking in delay timing. Similar to a normal pressure cooker, the difference is that heat-source is just electric. It doesn’t require a gas or electric stove, thus making it more energy efficient.
